Finally saw a couple of strutters in a field driving around today!

I haven't seen anything in Marion County yet.

Saw a flock with one breeding a hen in a field today while the other longbeard in the flock was chasing off a couple of jakes in Wirt county.

Talked to an older man today that said they have been strutting in his field down here in summers county.

I have been out 5 times in Hardy, Hampshire and Pendleton Counties this year, heard birds two different times, BUT, 3 days I didn't hear a bird. Still a couple of weeks out from good gobbling. Season may hit good this year for the first time in a while for the Eastern Panhandle.
