Are Osceolas quite?

I have heard that an Osceola turkey is a quieter turkey.
Meaning they do not gobble as much.
Is this true?
The ones I hunt are on public land, so I am sure this as something to do with it.
We get a couple of gobbles in the morning on the roost and then they loose there voices.
Anybody else experience this?

I don't know if they gobble less, but they are harder to hear once they pitch down because of the foilage, at least where I hunted them.  I've been on Osceolas that gobbled as good as any turkey I've been on.   But I've also encountered the tree gobbling ground drumming version.

Overall, yes they are a quieter bird in my opinion. But like the others mentioned, foliage and predators also play a roll. But you can find those that will gobble with the best of any bird straight to the gun. . . . but they should be enjoyed and cherished!
