I'm a new member here & was hoping to get some info on turkey loads for a Franchi 612. I already have a Rhino & SSX turkey chokes for it but was wondering what factory loads to start out with & was hoping someone on here has the same gun. Thanks ahead of time for any help.

That was my go to gun for years until my son got older and ask me for it. He will be turkey hunting this weekend with it. It has a jellyhead 655 and shoots remington hevi-shot the best. I tried hevi 13 6's but rem worked the best. I picked up a box of hevi-blends and win long beards to try Friday. Those were not around back then. You just got to get some shells and start shooting patterns.Rick

I appreciate the info. Has the 612 been a good one so far ?

I have loved that gun. First automatic shotgun I ever owned. Real easy to clean and I clean the piston a lot. I drop it down in some simple green for a couple of days, put a little gun grease on the rails. I could always tell when it needed cleaned because it would start needing a little help closing the action. Now we soak the piston and put a little grease on the rails every year before duck season. That gun has been shot thousands of times. Would buy it over in a heartbeat and it's now my sons. Rick
