Burris fastfire 3 questions

The sight I'm talking about is on its way back. Another one is on the way but I am nervous now. The fastfire 3 came in today and I mounted it on my son's shotgun. Upon powering it up I noticed several small illuminated specks just around the red dot itself. I cleaned the outside lens that emits the red dot but it appears the problems with the specks is on the inside of that lens. Next problem I was able to power it on and off several times and then it cut off with me and wouldn't power back up. It would power on with the power button held in but go right back off. The other concern is the windage and elevation adjustment. They both say turn clockwise for said adjustment, elevation up and windage left. Well to actually achieve this adjustment I have to go counter clockwise. Is this right?

Not sure about the power issue, but if the sight is defective I'm sure Burris will get you straightened out. As for the adjustments, if you are saying that when you move the elevation adjustment toward up that the dot physically moves down then it is working as it should, that is how all scopes work.
