I got my gun all dialed in today and ready for season. I had a 24" barreled 835 in the past that threw awesome patterns. I Traded it for a 20" 835 solely for the fact the 20" came with the adjustable trigger and Mossberg would not sell the trigger group to retrofit older guns. The trigger is nice and the maneuverability of the shorter barrel is nice, but the patterns aren't near as good as the older gun.
With 3.5" Hevi 13 7's through a Star Dot, I'm averaging 240 in a 10" at a lasered 40 yards.
At 60 yards, I'm getting 106 in a 10".
The patterns are pretty even, so I guess I'm not going to worry about the numbers this year anyway.
