I have a pic rail on my 870 right now and with the pic mount and guard on my FF it seems like my head is way too high up on the gun stock....not to mention the sight is adjusted as far as it will go and it still seems to shoot a little low.

My question is:  Can a 336 mount be modified to match the existing holes in the receiver of an 870 SM?

I sure hope so...thanks for the replies in advance!!

I have re-drilled the 336 base to fit a Benelli, but I don't know about an 870. Best thing to do is use a base from the 870 and set on top the 336 base to see if there is enough material to  drill an additional hole. Hopefully you can use an existing hole in the 336 base and only have to drill 1 more. If you have to drill 2 holes it's a lot more difficult to do.

Thanks!  I hope this can happen as well.  I ordered the 336 today with hopes that this will work.
