This won't do many run and gun hunters much good, but for those who like to sit on a field, which I plan to do some this season, this seems like a pretty useful tool, at a decent price for what it is ($29.99).

If it works like it says, I think I am going to pair it with my shooting stick and always have my gun up at the ready without having to hold it. It should free my hands up to use my slate call.

I thought about one off these last year for freshly burnt tracks of woods I was hunting. I never did get one though. If im not mistaking the blind itself is also shooting sticks.

That is what it claims. It looks like it should work well for sitting on the edge of a field next to a tree or some brush or something. I may just have to spend a few more dollars and get it. Could even come in handy for deer season.

I have one. Its not something I carry as a must have on all my hunts but it comes in useful when I have a youth hunter or my wife out. Covers up some movement and doubles as a gun rest. I had a tough set up spot last year under a small apple tree with a few rocks and dead branches but no other cover on a fence row and it worked to keep my wife hiden with me kneeling behind her for a bird that worked in to 9yds never the wiser.

it is worth the $30 no doubt.

My only concern with it was if a turkey suddenly came in on your left or right then it would be hard adjusting or it would seem so anyway

I wonder if you can set it up so it is in a V shape? That way you would be sort of covered on your sides.

When using it with a chair, is it too low to cover you up enough for it to be useful?

TauntoHawk

No it works good with a low gobbler lounger chair, last year my wife was 7months pregnant during turkey season so a chair was pretty much a necessity for her. Now the shooting rest in the center might be a bit low depending on terrain but with the sides that extend up and out it covers enough.
