Here is my first attempt at a wingbone. It could use some work but I'm not displeased.

I would say your off to a pretty good start. Hope you have some memorable hunts with it this spring !

Congrats! Good luck this spring.

I'm not a Christian because I'm strong and have it all together. I'm a Christian because I'm weak and admit I need a Saviour!

That is great looking and you will enjoy taking a gobbler with a call you hand made from them bones! :icon_thumright:

Your call looks nice. Hope you call up several gobblers with it. There's only one problem with that call, it usually leads to the making of several more, but really, that's not a bad thing. I started making calls about twenty years ago and it has been a great hobby. I have had the pleasure of calling in many gobblers for myself and for friends but the greatest blessing was calling in my sons first turkey. Another great thing about call making has been all the fine people I have met and talked turkey with. Make some more, enjoy making calls, and the improvement you mentioned will come if that's what you desire, but don't put too much pressure on yourself that you loose the pleasure of making them. Remember, it is the SOUND that truly counts in the woods, the appearance only matters to you and me. Get satisfied with the sound first and then work on what they look like.
