I really don't scout alot since our birds pretty much do the exact same thing year after year. I do keep up with them to see what the hatch has been like and what the age structure is. My best hunting is in years when the jakes are not quite as numerous. Things are looking good this year, even with lots of jakes...there are still good enough numbers of toms to keep them in check for me not to have to worry about having the jakes whoop them off.
