Went for a detour on the way to pick up the little girl at grandmas after work and saw several birds. It's like they suddenly just popped out of the ground where there wasn't anything the day before. I saw a group of 17 with several strutters just a mile south of my folks place scratching in the hay where the neighbor feeds his cows. I drove around the section and saw a couple hens feeding in a small field on the wardens place. I decided to go just a little farther and caught a small group of birds with one big tom crossing the road into one of my spots. Looks like we are going to have plenty of birds around this spring! Now I gotta wait two weeks till I can get after em.
