One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.

Well, one things for sure.  If I was headed somewhere in the truck with you two I would never tell you to "turn that crap off"!  Great picks for sure.

Buddy Greene is awesome, I have had his rendition of The William Tell Overture on my phone for years.

Hard not to think about Magic Dick when I think harmonica...

As good a bluegrass song as there is:

Btw, the lab in my avatar is named Lynyrd Freakin' Skynyrd...I might be stuck in the past a little bit... :)  There are several bluegrass bands that cover Black Sabbath, Metallica, Skynyrd, Led Zeppelin and others that are really good.

Some good stuff boys. Bluegrass and mountain music takes my mind to good places and good times. When I was young, I was lucky to live near some old boys that made good music. I was able, on several occasions, to sit in a treestand and listen to them play. Remembering that sound echo across these hollows makes me smile. Makes me sad too. Those old fellers are gone now.

Y'all might enjoy looking up The Mizzone Brothers.

We've got the great good fortune to have the Wide Open Bluegrass Festival in Raleigh again this year. http://www.wideopenbluegrass.com/       Last year was fantastic and this year promises to be better.  I already have my tickets and booked that Friday to be off work.

Spent yesterday at listening to bluegrass played live at IBMA's Wide Open Bluegrass Festival in Downtown Raleigh.  It was great!  Got another full day of it today.  This area has embraced having the festival and the IBMA appears to be thrilled with the local facilities and participation.  There's over 45 acts scheduled to appear on various stages and hundreds of musicians doing impromptu jam sessions out on the street.  Martin guitars also has an area set up for demonstration jams where artists who play Martin instruments show their stuff.

Steep Canyon Rangers and Hot Rize have been my favorites so far.

Here's something completely different; http://search.yahoo.com/search?fr=mcafee&type=A111US0&p=Iron+Horse+bluegrass
