I have a SX3 I shoot 3" and 3.5" Winchester Supreme HV #5's,  and Winchester Longbeard XR 3.5 #5's,  I use the .655 Briley straight rifled choke that is ported.  I was told after I bought it by briley that the Porting does not pattern any different than the unported chokes.  They just reduce recoil a little bit they say.  With the supreme loads I get extremely good pattern out to 40 yards, could probably shoot farther but I have never tried patterning my guns beyond 40 yards.  Shooting the longbeards in the .665 choke they are so tight for me to hunt with them I would have to use a little more open choke.  These are the only choke and shell combinations I have tried, tickeled pink.  The SX3 Came with a briley .650 or a .655, as tight as the patterns were for the .665 I won't try shooting the .650 or .665, if I ever go to #6's I will try them.  Never shot #4's,  Good Luck.

Winchester/Browning recommends a .640 in the Invector+ barrels. Their Full Strut choke, with a .640 e.d. is a very good one. I use the SSX with a .643 e.d. and have excellent results as well.

It's roughly the equivalent of what we use in a Mossberg 835, .100 constriction, from .770 to .670 and it works very well.

I've been shooting the SX3 for years along with other Invector+ barrelled guns and it just works.

Thanks,
Clark

.670 .675 .680. Longboards will still be pretty tight at 680.
