With today's, and the past several years' economy, many of us have had difficult times with jobs. We have been short financially, and some have been laid off from jobs they have performed for many years. Some have been Blessed recently with new jobs, pay increases, and just having steady work.

From a Spiritual standpoint though, all of us have been employed full time. God has already paid the price for our service, and we are unable to pay Him back with our works, even doing overtime for Him.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (NLT)

19 Don't you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, 20 for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.

Although we are unable to pay God back, He does ask for our service, and he ask that we do it well, full hearted, in EVERYTHING we do. Not just on Sundays, Wednesdays, or the days we go to church; not just with certain friends, or at home, or at our jobs; but every minute, every day we have a full time job, in serving and loving God.

Matthew 22:37-38(NKJV)

37 Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind."

Notice, it doesn't say anything about serving our Saviour, it reads "to love".  For in loving something, our hearts will be devoted "to doing", "to serving".

Do we really appreciate, and realize, what has been done for us through the blood of Christ? Do we act differently in one group of people, than another? Do we behave the same way at work, as we do in God's house/church?

Do we love God with all our heart, all our soul, and all our mind, or is there some part we are holding back?

I challenge you to give it all, to go all in, with no pieces left out, in serving Christ, and finding out, what His purpose for you is, in bringing Him glory and honor. I can guarantee, at that point, you will have a full time job of His peace, and assurance.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for another day filled with opportunities to serve you, to love you, in each and everything we may do. Forgive us of being selfish, and seeking our own ways, our own jobs, which have brought dismay, bewildermint, and a poor reflection of Your kingdom to others who have looked to us, as examples of You.

Help us to understand, through the Holy Spirit, what our jobs are, in serving, and loving You completely. Help us to find Your peace, which passes all understandings of this world, as Your Word tells us in Philippians 4:7.

May we be the examples You would have us to be, and may our works, though not needed, be pleasing in Your eyes. Help us to be aware of the needs of others, and may we love others, as you have loved us. Let not the actions, and outward appearances of those who are hurting, sway our love. Let us look past the outward appearances, and see the true inward beauty of all we come in contact with in our passings.

Heal those who are sick today, not only physically, but mentally, emotionally, and Spiritually, as well.

For it is in the name of Jesus, we ask and claim these things, Amen!!

God Bless,
David B.
