Well things finally worked out good today. After a few frustrating hunts, having numerous birds roosted within 100 yds of me and never seeing anything after flydown I finally figured out where they were going. I built a blind there two days ago and was there first thing this morning. Just as I figured at 6:30am I see a hen come into field by herself and a couple minutes later I see a fan come out of gully followed by two jakes, within about 30 seconds the jakes ran into decoy and this was too much for Tom to take and he followed suit. Season ended at 6:40am with a nice Tom down at 30 yds. 21 lbs, 3/4" spurs and a 8 1/4" beard. Will post pics a little later.
