Got it done.
This guy and two of his friends kept me company for the hour of quiet time after fly down.
Finally got an answer to a call after about an hour of zip... Five minutes of a pair of gobblers coming on a string. I called 2x after their first answer, mostly because I've missed it so much this year. They were coming from the opposite direction of the roosted birds. Watched them walk past and then come all the way. One was strutting and leading. Thought he'd be the dominate bird. The Guillotine hit him square in the face.
As he flopped bird number two came in to flog him.
First 2 pictures were from inside. Next one was after I came out. I could have shot him for five minutes at least. Note his spurs. Maybe the spurs don't show up, but they were good in person at 8 steps.
Then the cavalry came. Blind was nearly packed up and took these pictures.
My bird was 8 7/8" beard, 18 pounds 6 oz, and NO SPURS. wish I could have posted a better bird for the team. Good bow bird though.
