My xtrema fell over while turkey hunting and put a small dent in my rib right between the posts on the barrel. No creases or anything. I've heard of a rib straightning tool. Does anyone have any experience with this? Or how to straighten a rib?

Gunsmith says the vent rib is an easy fix. Brownells makes a special tool, 40.00 and it can also be done with nylon or wooden wedges that you tap under rib provided the damage isn't too bad.

+1  This site is just a wealth of useful information.  :icon_thumright:
I love golf.  It keeps a lot of people out of the turkey woods.

I did the same thing to my BPS right where the rear sight is attached.  Of course, I didn't notice it until after a few missed shots.   >:(  I lightly hammered in some soft door shims, and it straightened right out.
