I am headed to MO to help my brother inlaw build a log cabin this week. The pic is the load of logs we are following out. And maybe do a little turkey hunting.
The addiction will cost you time and money and alienate those close to you. I can give you the names of a dozen addicts — myself included — whose wives begin to get their hackles up a week before turkey season starts and stay mad until a week after it closes.

Made some progress. And roosted a few birds for the morning.

Got out yesterday morning heard one gobble off in the distance. Found a few sheds. Tue morning I over slept, that is the morning i I should have made it out. Monday night when we were packing the tools up a long beard flew up to roost not 30 yrds from the cabin. And then flew off. At it again this morning.

Well we got the cabin up and under roof. I didn't kill a bird, but had fun. Closest birds were 2 hens, the one was the size of a gobbler. She kept chasing the smaller one in circles around my decoy for about 20 min.
