Well, the forecast is looking good for the low country (SC zone 6) opener tomorrow morning.  I hope my scouting pays off and I can get on some gobblers!   :z-guntootsmiley:

So, I went out yesterday for the SC zone 6 opener and had one gobbling hard on the roost but it was all quiet after that (just 1 gobble on the ground going away from my setup). I might have gotten too close to the roost, but at least I know where one is now! I saw several birds while walking/driving the woods and roads.

Late in the day I hunted/scouted another spot (with my son) where I have seen a strutter with hens, and sure enough I found several strut marks in the road (probably from earlier in the day)...I have a blind setup within sight of this location now (along the side of the road) and I might put another one up near there.
