I finally found a kid thats is interested in going almost couldn't come up with one, but I did and his dad is gonna come along too they are both really excited regardless of needed to be up at 3:30.
I was out this morning scouting local game lands.. Found 3 mouthy birds strutting for a flock of hens just leaving public timber for a private field, and another bird stutting in a powerline for a few hens and deer deeper in. Hopefully we can get on one of these birds in the AM

Scouting last night paid off, called 3 longbeards and two jakes at a run right off the roost. My youth hunter missed the first shot and the only bird that stuck around was this jake who thought shock gobbling at the shot was more appropriate than running or flying like his pals.
Feels great to go out on public land and get this kid his first bird, the other birds fired up again within 10min and gobbled our entire walk out of the woods.
SS box was what they wanted this morning

Good job! Exciting hunt.
I love golf. It keeps a lot of people out of the turkey woods.
