My good buddy shoots a 870 supermag with a 24" barrel and he's shooting 3.5" with 2 1/4 oz of hevi shot 7"s . What choke do you recommend him trying that will give him 275-300 #"s in the 10 ? Thanks

I had the same gun and shot the same shells.  Hard to make a bad choice with that gun -  any Jelly Head (.660 or .665) , HEVI, Indian Creek, Wrights #1 .. they all shot around 280-315 for me.

Indian creek or Rhino would be a great place to start.

I shoot a 870 SM with those shells and use a .662 Hevi-Shot tube with great results. I also have a .660 Jellyhead that is great. I will get around to trying an Indian Creek one day.

I'm shooting Indian Creek with good results and all the ones above would be good ones to start with also

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.
