Most of you have only seen pics of me in my wheelchair. Here's one from the spring of '93.
Great story behind this pic. I sat up facing this bird with my back against the blowdown and the big poplar. Well he proceeded to circle all the way around and get in behind me. I managed to slide down to a prone position, roll over and place my gun barrel in the small gap between the 2 trunks of the blowdown and get the shot.
This was true mountain bird, the Blue Ridge Parkway is less than 1/2 mile above where this photo was taken.
How do you like my hat?
