Headed out to Kansas with my son on April 10th. Anyone heard any reports on gobbling or if the birds are still in their winter flocks?

I've seen gobblers out by themselves and I've seen flocks of 50+ birds in the past week

Talked to the landowner where I hunt....he says they just started strutting about a week or so ago. There's birds here in Iowa strutting, so I'd say that KS should or has started getting into their spring routines.

Should be fine as long as the weather holds out to be decent; was 78 degrees yesterday in North Central KS. Definitely not too early IMO.

I have seen 3 different strutters in NE KS the last week. All with hens

Talked to a buddy out there with his son in NC Kansas. Said the birds have been cooperative and should keep getting better with the weather settling down.
