I have the Jackals and they are light and comfortable. I wore them in Kansas, last spring, up and down the hills and never had any foot or leg fatigue. I was putting about 8 to 10 miles a day in them. The only problem I had with them was they leaked at the seams but one good coat of SnoSeal each year solves that. If you want a boot that is light and comfortable, I highly recommend them but you may have to waterproof them from time to time. One more thing, they won't leave your feet soaked from sweat and tired like rubber boots do.
