Welcome to the nut house.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons. However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.

Congratulations on your first bird...you now may be able to retire with about half what you would have had if you didn't take up turkey hunting...but you'll be happy!

Very nice. Sounds like the bug has bitten you hard.

This hunt went perfect we scouted out the area the day before found there feeding ground i guess it was a corn field they where roosting near. And on the next day we sat an put out the decoy and i didnt know it at that time but we positioned our selfves between where the hens and gobblers where roosting. We just wanted to get to an area where we thought the gobblers might come out to get in the field we nailed it. The hens came out behind us about 100 yards an gobblers directly in front of us across the field. Hopefully we can replicate this again on another hunt sure was fun
