I got a bad case of cabin fever and cant wait for the season to start here in IL.  Thinking about heading south to see what TN has to offer.  I am having a tough time trying to figure out where to start looking for public ground.  Not looking for exact spots or anything like that just wanting a push in the right direction for some public ground, probably just camping out of the truck.

I was looking in the middle and western part of the state.  Possibly in the land between the lakes area or the natchez trace area.

If you plan on heading further west let me know.  I am in Lauderdale county

I thought Cheatham was seriously down on headcount. Few years back they had a disease the manager referred to as "blackhead". I have never heard of it but he told me it wiped out half of the birds and it had not really recovered. That was in 2011. Randy was his name I believe.

I'm from the west tn area born and raised natchez trace is a good place but you need to get to you're spot early cause last couple of years it's been getting pretty crowded. If you don't mind going a bit farther you could try the white oak wma in savannah I think it's a little less pressured and have heard alot of good things lately.
