Killed my second Texas bird of the year today. Came strutting right in. 10" beard, 1 3/8" spurs.

Where abouts were you?  Got any pictures?  I'm headed to Texas in two weeks.

Why shoot a 3.5"? Because they don't make a 4".

You should be perfect on the timing. I hunted south Texas last weekend and toms were just starting to run with the hens. In the panhandle, they are still in bachelor groups.
