I broke my Burris :(

Today was the last day of season for me, actually ends tomorrow, but I can't make it out. This morning my hunting buddy and I were getting out of the truck and I bumped my gun against the truck. It wasn't hard and I didn't think twice about it, at least not until the sun came up and I looked through my FFII. Broke the glass along the top and it has another crack running across about mid way down. The glass is still intact and the dot still looks to be lined up with my fiber sights, but it just made me sick. This is my second season with the Burris and I love it. I guess I will call Burris and see if it's repairable at a reasonable cost. If not, I guess I will upgrade to the FFIII. I wanted to get a FFIII, but I wanted to put it on a .22 pistol and keep the FFII on the shotgun. Hopefully this wasn't a full 200.00 mistake.

Lesson to be learned: Get one of those steel guards to protect your sight!

Hopefully you can get it fixed on the cheap!  I'm ready to pull the trigger on the new FF3, but only one thing holding me up......  They dont have a guard for the FF3, and prob wont have till next year.  I'd hate to get the new 3 and take it out without a guard.

I would say go ahead and get it. I hunted hard with mine for two full seasons and used it on a 22/45 off season that got used a lot. I don't think they are weak, I just banged mine at the wrong spot against a metal door edge.

Burris is the best, hands down! :icon_thumright:
You don't get customer service like that just anywhere!

And this is why a FFIII is going on the new Vinci.

Ought to be a good comparison, M2 Tactical and Eotech versus Vinci and FFIII.

Good to know. I got an email back today from Customer Service with instruction on how to send it in. I will ship it out this week.

My next sight will be a BURRIS too.

Personally, I see the superior customer service and attentiveness that Burris continues to provide to OG and I can't help but wonder.... Why would you buy anything else???

I will own the FFIII in the near future and can say that a large reason is due to the professionalism and high standards they exhibit on this site.

I own 2 FFIs and an FF2.

The FF2 malfunctioned and I contacted Burris CS here. He took care of me and I am totally satisfied.

The FF series of red dots are in my opinion, the perfect sight for Turkey hunting. I have piled up a bunch of birds with my FF equipped guns and give them my highest recommendation.

Great customer service and product..
