Hey all,  new guy here........

I've just bought a stevens model 67 E.  It came with a mod and full choke.  Does anyone know what aftermarket or such chokes would thread in this gun??

It also seems to want to jam up after a shot when I cycle(pump) another shell in, it wants to deliver both shells out of the tube at the same time.  Any suggestions fellas????

Thanks,

Brian

FullChoke

I seem to remember that the 12 gauges use the Winchoke setup. Possibly the 20's do too. I would try to find someone who would loan you a 20 gauge Winchoke choke tube and see if it would fit. It is at least a starting point.

I am unfamiliar with that model, but it sounds like it may be a problem with the shell stop, the piece/pieces inside of the receiver that holds the shell in the mag tube.It could have debri/gunk buildup behind it, if it is the kind that has a small coil spring behind it could be that it is weak/missing, if it is a flat spring steel type it could have lost tension or bent, or the tip that contacts the shell could be excessively worn. I would try cleaning out receiver best you can and see if that works. If not a gunsmith should be able to fix it very reasonably if that is the problem. Good luck, I hope you get it up and running soon.

Hey thanks fellas,

I'll look into the choke option as mentioned.  Thanks

I sure hope the feeding issue is something simple like stated.  I missed a very good buck last fall because of it jamming up on me...........I know I should have had him with the first shot, but I guess buck fever got the best of me lol.  If I was standing near a tree that gun would've been wrapped around the trunk hahahaha

Thanks again guys for takin the time, its appreciated.

Hello again guys,

I was out blasting some starlings today that like to nest in the peak of my roof, they get in under the steel roof.....anyways, the light loads of #7 1/2's didn't seem to bother the gun at all.  So why would it just be the heavy loads of the slugs that make it want to jam up?

Any ideas fellas?

Thanks,

Brian
