How effective is a lone hen decoy?

I have used a lone hen the majority of my turkey hunts and have had good success with just She Mobile out. We all know each gobbler is different even from day to day and I've had some hang up just out of range. Would they have came on in with a jake or gobbler decoy beside her? Maybe, maybe not. I've also had those same gobblers in the same green plot or field come in the very next day to that same lone hen decoy with just a few subtle yelps. I would say it really just depends how hard he's looking for love!

On I think most gobblers hang up waiting for the loan hen to come to them once they see her so I think its important to add a jake or strutter to bring them in to show dominance

I don't use decoys very much...but when I do it's a lone hen & I've had good luck with it!
