Here is my thoughts on the new Caldwell Deadshot Chairpod.
If you're hunting out of a ground blind it is a very nice product. It holds your crossbow/gun very sturdy and allows your hands to be free. It swings very smooth and is quiet. When you take aim, it allows you to hold POA very steady.
The problems I find are:
1- I wish it had adjustable legs for uneven ground.
2- It wants to lean forward with your weapon if you decide to stand up. I think a counter weight behind the seat would eliminate that problem.
Is it perfect? no, but overall, I think it is a good and very well made product.
Here is a video I made out in the field this past weekend.
