this permethrin tick spray you guys speak off...does it work on chiggers/redbugs also??? we have some major issues with them in the summer months at our hunting lease, if any of you have ever gotten into them good you surely know how miserable it can be

Yes, it is a recommended preventative treatment for chiggers and redbugs.

Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.

See if you can get some flowers of sulfur if you can get any. Chiggers don't like it. You can put some around the camp and areas where you sit/stand or put it on your pants leg and top of boot socks. It really helps.

Bathe with old fashioned lye soap . I guess there is no such thing as new fashioned lye soap. Oh well.

Another deal is to put clear nail polish over each bite. Spray the entire camp area with ant poison every week for three weeks if nothing else or find another place. Seed ticks and red bugs are bad news.

Works well on chiggers, redbugs, ticks and mites for that matter.  Not so good for mosquitoes.  Thermacell for them.

If I ever make it to Heaven my first question for God is '' whats the deal with chiggers?''

A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands, love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper; his hands remember the rifle.
