I have a SX3 NWTF also, it came with a .655 choke, I recently patterned mine and I used a .665 choke & 3 1/2" Winchester Longbeard #5's, at 40 yards. The pattern was so tight that I will not hunt with the Longbeard's. If I aim a little off one way or the other or flinch I would miss a turkey. I am going to use .665 and Winchester supreme HV #5's to hunt with, its a little more open pattern. I did not pattern the .655 choke that came with the gun as I felt I did not need a tighter pattern yet. From my experience if you use the more open chokes you will have a huntable pattern, if you are looking for a tight pattern and high numbers I would use a .665 choke. My choke is a Briley .665 straight rifled choke. A note of caution, I put a 1 x 4 Monark scope on the SX3 with a 4 to 5 inch eye relief, when I shot the gun it gave me scope eye, no matter what I did I could not keep the scope off me, when I finished patterning the gun, I had to get a wet rag and wipe off the crusted blood on my face. I removed the scope from the gun and put on a Burris Fastfire 3, I can get down on my stock now and the Burris can't hit me for any reason due to its size and position on the gun. The reason The scope was hitting me was I had to lift my head slightly off the stock to see thru the scope, consequently my face would not slide with the stock in recoil. Also don't let anyone tell you that gun will kick less with 3 1/2" shells.
