ANYONE SHOOTING LONG BEARDS THRU A TRUGLO SSX CHOKE??

If so, what load and in what gun and barrel length and what kind of 40 yard pattern did you get???  Thanks.

Don't you have a sx3? I have tried the SSX in my Invector plus barrel. With the Long Beards it didn't do as well as the .665 IC. With #5's it averaged around 165 and the IC has been between 180 and 200 with a best of 203 at 40. Now with regular lead loads like the Turkey Thugs and Winchester the SSX was one of the best I had tried in my gun. Had 2 different lead 5 loads last year that would go around 130 and the Thug 6 and Win. XX 3-2-6 would stay in the mid 140's. This is all with 3", as my guns not cambered for 3.5".

I do have an SX3 and I'm wanting to set it up as my long range field gun.  I'd really like to shoot the 3.5"
Long Beard #4's thru it if someone has a proven choke recipe for this combination??

I've got a 28" barrel on my SX3 and have been averaging in the 180's with the long beard #5's and a .665 IC choke.
I've got one number 4 and one number 6 I'm going to shoot Saturday.
I'll let you know how they do.
These are all 3 1/2" shells.

Go ahead and try the 4s, but I think the 5s will give you what you are looking for. Plenty of pellet energy and high enough pattern numbers to do what you want to do. The 4s have great energy, but 130/10 as fantastic as that is for Pb 4s, is going to go away in a hurry if you know what I mean.
