I had to take a trip down to Baton Rouge for work last week and after we were finished on Friday a buddy of mine down there took me to Grand Isle to chase speckled trout and bull reds.  The water was dirty and rough Saturday morning and we never got a hit chasing trout.  We switched tactics and I was able to hook into this guy on relatively light tackle.  It was like hooking a tank!  We ended up with four, plus a we also caught a bunch of stingrays and hardhead catfish.  Never knew there were toxic catfish!

Nice, those reds are some mighty fine eating.

Love them big reds.  I fish them whenever I'm down in FL.  Lots of fun and good eating!
