I am aware that the 12 gauge version isn't out yet except for Cabela's but it is time to throw Winchester a plea for 20 gauge shells in #5 and #6 for the LB XR shell for 2015.

Are there any direct links to Winchester shell production division?

SCDieselDawg

I'd like to see a 3" load of #5s for the 20 myself.

it's not the harvest,it's the chase

I started out shooting gobblers with lead some 40 years ago. Had plenty of problems, but most were based on the choke of the only shotgun that I had. Years later I sent that shotgun off to be tapped and have a turkey choke tube custom made by Briley. This was a big step up for me and turkeys started dieing on a regular basis.

Next big step was about 12 years ago when I switched over to HTL Hevi-13 shot and a much more aggressive choke tube. The shells were expensive (and still are), but I felt then that it helped me make more certain that there was going to be a one shot/one kill situation when I squeezed the trigger. This has always been what I have been working towards with any changes in the ammunition and gun that I shoot. I have been preparing myself for the day when, due primarily to the ever escalating price of tungsten, that the HTL shells would simply become too expensive.

The day may come when I will again find myself slipping 3 lead shot shells into the magazine of my 20 gauge 870 shotgun in the dim blue light of a chilly April morning. I won't worry about it too much though. I will simply accept it as a new plot twist in my hunting life and resolve to call Ole Mr. Loudmouth 10 yards closer before we engage in our appointed roles of predator and prey.

Come on March 15th!

You are welcome

I sent them an email about a 3" long beard 20 gauge load with #6 shot also.

I also sent them a message about the Longbeard 3" 20 gauge shells and they responded back saying that they will take the request to their product design group and keep it under consideration. That's a lot more than I expected to receive.

Obviously, we should keep our eyes open for this development.

This may be political rhetoric but sounds like a bunch need to express demand for this shell.

I can't wait for the O.G reviews on this one.
