hello, i have some family that lives in carter co tenn and i was thinking about going down and visiting this spring, during turkey season and i was wondering are there very many birds in the area, thanks for any help

There are always birds in a given area. Just ask your family how often they see or hear them.

If there are not any on your families place, sure there are some around close. Looked at a State map, and that is in the Cherokee National Forest area. Not sure about there, but I know in other States I have hunted National Forest, and usually have a lot of birds.

If they have some land you might be ok. Cherokee will be crowded especially early in season

Cherokee does get a lot of pressure first part of the season. This year being no acorns the birds will be far and few between. If your on private then you should be good. See tons of birds driving around the farms
