First Mossberg I have ever owned. Shot some pumps but swore I'd never buy something that kicked like that. I gave 450 plus tax for this mossy 930 turkey with 24" ported barrel and it looks like brand new. I'm hoping it being a semi auto it won't buck as bad. It seems sweet, and fits perfect. How do like yours? Got another to play with before spring... :)

Isn't that a Model 935? Never heard of a 930. IMO it's a good gun for a turkey specific shotgun. If I remember correctly I don't think the action will function with ANY light loads.
Deer see you and think you are a stump. The Old Gobbler sees a stump and thinks it is YOU!

The 930 is a 3" gun. The 935 is the 3"-3.5" gun. The 930 has standard bore while the 935 has 10ga bore.

Pretty sure a 930 only shoots 3" shells the 935 shoots 3 1/2.

Nice gun by the way. Good luck with it. Get some pattern pics up for us.

Harleytom recently picked one up, I would get his input. Congratulations on a great gun!

The 935 will shoot 3.5" and 3" shells and some high brass 2.75" shells although Mossberg makes no promises of proper operation on any 2.75" shells.  It has an overbored barrel.

The 930 will shoot 3 inch and all 2.75" shells  It has a standard bore barrel.

Point is you have the better all around gun if you also wingshoot and/or small game.

You got a great deal on the gun, congrats!

Gut Pile

I have a 930 cantilever  / scope on it, it is my deer gun and it is one fine gun, toying with the idea of getting a turkey barrel for it.

The gun is very reliable, it has never let me down, it is the single reason why I will probably buy  mossbergs  for quite some time

Great price and enjoy !

I love mine. The only problem being my wife loves it more and laid claim to it. Put an Eotech 511 and Hevi13 choke on it. Low 200s 10 inch @40yds with Nitro blends. Enjoy it, very good handling nice shooting gun. Love the camo on yours.

That is both a fantastic buy and a fantastic gun. I've had mine for some time now and it has never had a fail to feed with anything I've put in it. It is also a patterning machine. It is the gun that I always take to still target shoots. It will pattern with custom bolt guns in the $5000.00 range in those competitions and it's a great turkey gun.

Congratulations!

Thanks,

You did well on the 930!  Mine is a heck of shooter with the Indian Creek BDC .660 choke.  I'm a Quadriplegic and from my perspective I think it kicks pretty dang hard especially with Turkey Thugs.  But I'd say an able bodied person would probably think the recoil is significantly better than an 870 or 835 pump gun.  Congrats on a fine deal on a fine weapon.
