I just blow air across the back of my tongue and let it vibrate to make the diaphragm purr. I'm not great, but it sounds pretty decent. Better than a lot of the guys I hunt with. Some other friends are awesome at it.

The only thing I'm getting out of it is a shower of spit lol

Keep at it man!! It'll come before you know it. Then you'll be surprised it took you so long. Good luck!

I think Joe sounded the best with the gargling method. That's what I use, I just didn't know the term for it. I also don't sound as good as Joe. Guess I need to practice more.

It can take a while, try all methods I got a lot of good use out of joes video as well as Jason Ellis' video mouth call magic.

Just keep at it

Joe's video is great! Here is mine as well. I teach the tongue flutter method. It's on my Mouth Call Magic DVD also. Tantohawk, it's Scott Ellis...:)

I purr from the back side of my tounge not the front. And gobble more with my lips and a gargle type sound. Seems to work very well.

I purr by rolling and vibrating the front part of my tongue. It seems to work very well. I have coaxed several big gobblers those extra few yards using that purr. To be honest I never really had a problem learning to purr on a mouth call. I use double and triple frame calls and can purr on them without any problem. IMO a purr sounds the best on a pot call but I don't like to have to move to do it so I use my mouth calls.
