What kind of wood stain?

What kind of wood stain are you guys using to finish your wood calls? Has anyone ever used the waterproof/deck sealer kind to help with moisture in the field? I'm anxious to hear your thoughts...

I do not use a stain in my calls. I do occasionally dye certain woods, mainly curly maple. I use CA finishes on all of my turned calls

What are you referring to when you say CA finish?

CA is Cyanoacrolate (sp). It's crazy glue.
