I've ordered a lot of new stuff I needed this year actually everything I'll have is new besides camo, vest and locater calls. Anyway still waiting on some stuff but today I got my red dot hooks mouth calls and my Jake decoy. Just a quick question I'm holding my red dot and some people say the fov isn't as good as other red dots. Well my gun hasn't came from buds yet and I'm just holding it up looking through it and holding both eyes open and I wouldn't think anybody would have any problems with fov by holding both eyes open. This solution just struck me as to easy anybody see any reason I can't or shouldn't shoot this way? Scope is a Bushnell trs 25.

It works just fine shooting with both eyes open.  FOV with a red dot it really not an issue.  I don't even look at it until the final moment and they are close enough then that it's plenty big.
Love to hunt the King of Spring!

I just read on a thread here about the burris ff's having such a better fov than anything else. I don't shoot rifle scopes with both eyes but for some reason it came natural to hold both eyes open with this. I wouldn't think there are any cons to shooting that way just wondered if anybody knew something I didn't.

You may want to wait until you get it mounted on your gun. The distance from your eye affects FOV. Just do whatever comes natural.

I got a Mueller quick shot in this week and it was very natural to look through it with both eyes open.

Unfortunately the brightness adjustment knob was stuck and I had to send it back.
