The title says it all. I just recently purchased a Remington 870 turkey/predator model with the pistol grip stock and 23 inch barrel. It currently puts 164 in the 10" ring with hevi 13 #6s with the factory turkey tube, but I'm looking to improve on those numbers a bit. I had good results in the past with an Indian Creek in a Benelli, but I've always heard good things about Pure Gold. So, with this particular gun/load combo, which do y'all think is the better choice?

I just bought a rem 870 sm with the 23" too I just ordered a sumtoy choke for mine.  I have used these chokes in the past with great results.  There is a pattern pic on the pattern pic page of a 20" 870 with the winchester longbeard 3 1/2 #6 that went 249 in the 10". I don't think it gets much better than that. I can't wait to get mine here and try it out

From my experience with the two chokes you mentioned I would go IC. I have shot both and IC always performed better for me in different guns. Don't overlook the Ventilator from remington it shoots good in my guns.  Either company will work with you and both have great customer service.Hope this helps.

Bought a Indian Creek .665 for my 870 SM and as much as I wanted to try a pure gold too after a pattern of 324 in a 10" circle with 3.5" 2.25oz H13 #7s I decided to stick with the Indian Creek

I bought an Indian Creek .665 for my 870 and my INV+ BPS.  I've been very happy with those two purchases.  I also used to own a Pure Gold choke, and it would hang in there pretty good with the Indian Creek chokes.  I have a very high opinion of Pure Gold.

SumToy has had great success of late, so he's a solid option too.
