 Thanks for all the nice comments from everyone. Yes , it ws a very special moment. This bird was taken on the Alabama youth hunt in early March 2013. Two weeks later , she killed her second tom.
I have a grandson who has also killed a couple of toms.
Anyone who can get these young people into this great sport should strive to do so. My dad did that with me back in the late sixties and that's why I am a "Turkey Addict" to this day.
If your state does not offer these youth hunts , you should press the Powers That Be to get them started.
