Some Early INV+ Star Dot Results

BPS with 28" Barrel, at 55 Degrees
159 Pellets in 10" at 40 Yards
I counted a few snowmen pellets as two hits each, to compare to my 870's numbers from last year, with the same shell.

BPS at 55 Degrees with INV+ Star Dot in 28" Barrel = 159
870 at 70-80 Degrees with .665 Pure Gold in 28" Barrel = 157
870 at 70-80 Degrees with .665 Indian Creek in 28" Barrel = 155

With Hevi13, the Star Dot is as good as anything else.

Last Year I got 280 hits with a Star Dot and a Hevi13 3-2-7 shell in the 870.

I know it's not the same size as the Browning choke,but I love my Stardot choke in my 835

How many you shoot?

I normally try one of each load, in any given choke.  Then I count and compare to previous patterns.  I always keep several old pattern targets around to compare to.

With HTL at $4 to $5 per shell, I'm not going to try three or more of each load in every choke.  Whenever I buy a box of 5 or 10 HTL shells, I normally sacrifice 2 or 3 to the pattern board.  The rest are for hunting.  However, I always try 3" Win Sup HV #5 1.75 Ounce Lead and 1.25 Ounce #7.5 Lead in every choke and gun.

For some reason the SD Rem chokes weren't all that great.
