I demonstrate the Faulks C-50 wooden crow call & the HS Strut True Hoot call. However, you can use your own voice to produce both of these calls. Typically, I always carry around my crow call, but use my own natural voice to produce a barred owl hoot call. The secret is to use these calls sparingly, but enough to "shock" a gobble out of a bird; don't wear locator calls out & give away your position in the woods. If a real crow or owl responds, I typically shut down my locator calling at that point & let the "real deal" crow or hoot.
