I have a Browning Citori 3 1/2" over and under that I am wanting to turkey hunt with this year.  Any choke recommendations will be appreciated.  Will probably be shooting 3" mag blends.  I have never "aimed" this gun to shoot it(only used it for wingshooting) but was told that both barrels should have relatively the same poi.  Is this true?  Thanks

Same POI?  only way to really know is to shoot and find out.
You need to pattern any turkey gun with chokes and loads so at that time you will know your POI.
Do you know what barrel that is , what choke thread fits it?

SumToy

They say they are at 25 yards.   I would say Bottom barrel shoot almost POA/POI  Top will be High.

Now I would run something in the 675 rang and other one 690.
Tell us just how dead do you want them to be and we will see if we can get that for you.

If you haven't shot a 3.5" through it yet, don't be holding your cheek down too tight. Those are the kickingest guns I've ever shot. I got one and took it duck hunting a few years ago. I was sitting on a bucket on the back platform of the boat, and threw up to shoot. First shot knocked me back a little off balance, second shot I was in the floor of the boat. That was that guns last duck hunting trip and last 3.5" it has shot

I hear ya !!  I have really had no desire to shoot a 3 1/2" shell out of anything especially this gun.  Thanks.

Those are very nice guns, well made and with excellent bores. Since you're a wingshooter, you probably already shoot the bottom barrel first and that does help some with recoil.

One perceived advantage of a double, O/U or SxS is that you can shoot 2 different chokes. You could for example shoot your factory flush mounted full and an aftermarket turkey choke in the other for a long/short combination.

Browning recommends their Full Strut Turkey Choke with a .640 exit diameter https://www.browning.com/products/catalog/accessories/detail.asp?fid=003J&cid=113&tid=38773 in their Invector+ barrels. That's a good choke and there are others that work very well.

Your choice of Magnum Blend shells should be a good one, as would the standard loads in either #6 or #7 shot.

There's really only one way to check the regulation of your barrels and that's a trip to the range, shooting the upper and lower barrels at various distances.

Good luck with that gun in the turkey woods this spring.

Thanks,
Clark

Thank you .  I do plan on shooting it to make sure of what each barrel is doing.  I have been looking for those Browning choke tubes everywhere being that I have several other Browning Autos

campcreekfarm

Dang, just looked at the link.  Do you know of anywhere to get those chokes that might be a little less expensive :o

owlhoot

If that is  invector + barrels ?  There are lots of chokes for them out there. Winchester X2, X3 and browning invector are the same chokes.  All about shooting website have the ssx and others , sumtoy has many , Carlsons along with many other aftermarket choices.
Read the posts and pattern pics on here which will show you plenty for those barrels.
