The first thing you might find this by shooting those cheaper dove loads is that your point of impact might be different than when you go to shoot whatever turkey load to go to pattern with! Maybe, i'm no expert but I read a lot of other people's post on here and have different tubes and loads change the point of impacts. For instance when I bought an Indian Creek Choke tube, shooting the same shells that I shot for years out of my super Black Eagle II. My son shoots a Remington 870 Junior model with a jelly head choke tube and Winchester extended range 3 inch number five shells and it could kill a turkey out to 40 yards if his ability to shoot 40 yards was there.
