I am on the fence on this.I am seriously thinking of getting one for my vinci.I love the idea of being able to swap it on in seconds and use it for turkey, then being able to easily swap back to the regular stock for birds and clays.I have not found a vinci with the steadygrip around here to handle to see if I would like the feel of it.Just wondering if anyone has any experiences with this stock on a vinci and if they liked it or not before I throw down the cash for one. Thanks for any info!

I haven't on a Vinci but in a sbe2. I have a hard time turkey hunting without one these days. It's that big a difference.

I actually like the Vinci model better as it has the gel comb on top where the sbe2 does not

I have handled a few of the supernovas with the steadygrip and they seemed comfortable enough.I can see where a pistol type grip would save your wrist if you are holding the gun on the bird for awhile as he works into range.I used a bps upland special with the straight engish style stock for a long time, and let me tell you there were more than a few birds that almost lived to tell the tale as I almost couldn't stand the cramp in my wrist to hold it another minute lol! Thanks for the feedback,i really appreciate it!

I really like my Vinci and have used it for spring and fall hunts for the last several years.  I've not handled one with the Steadygrip but it would be very easy to switch those stocks.

I also noted your comment about the BPS Upland Special. I also used one of those as a turkey gun. It was my first BPS and while I loved the look of it and it was easy to carry, it sure did punish my cheek.

Thanks,
Clark

Thanks for the reply Clark!I also love my vinci. It's been a great shooting gun for me for turkey and waterfowl. When I bought it I was trying to decide between it and an sbe2.It was a very tough decision between the 2 guns. The deciding factor was I don't shoot 3.5 shells and the vinci was just a hair more comfortable to me.My buddy whom I waterfowl with has an sbe2 and I've shot it several times and it's an awesome gun.I chuckled when I read about the bps, mine hit's me in the cheek pretty good too when I shoot heavy loads out of it.It's funny cause it usually only does it when I'm aiming at stationary targets and doesn't seem to happen much when I'm shooting at moving targets.I think in my case I'm pushing my head down on the stock to aim, plus there is no grip to help soak up the recoil in the trigger hand.

I decided to go for it.I got one on order and will post pics when it comes in.Figured I better get one before they try to make them illegal, lol!Actually, I didn't want to wait to the last minute before season and be unable to find one. Thanks to everyone for their input!
