First post by long time guest. Hope this is the right section to put this in. Picked up a 835 Ultimag and absolutely love it. Put a box of shells thru it to see how it patterned. Took it apart to clean like i do with all of my firearms, put it back together. Took it out to shoot a few days ago and now it has trouble loading shells when you rack it, it wont release the shell out of the magazine tube, or it does, and then ejects them down to the ground without loading. Anybody else ever had this problem? Ive looked all over the internet for the solution, no dice. Thanks in advance for any help and god bless. :OGturkeyhead:

Sounds like your shell stopper or lifter. Should be the right one on each side cause one has a pin that goes into the receiver and the other has a tang, believe it goes down. Make sure the shell stops are not interfering with the shell lifter and they are all in place correctly.

ill check it again, i have pulled it apart 3 times trying to see what i was doing wrong. It goes together just like my 500 so i dont know what im missing. Its not operator error i promise haha

The shell stop with the pin actually has the tang also and it go up not down. I guess the other is plain. I would take mine apart but I have to loosen the stock with the pistol grip stock

Tore it down again and looked everything over. Nothing seems to be out of line or messed up. Like i said its only had maybe a box of 2 3/4'' 7 1/2 shot shells through it. Reassembled and it works fine now, tried 2 3/4, 3 inch and 3.5, all chamber and eject without a problem. Maybe just needs to be broken in more i reckon. Thank you for the advice and help davisd9. :z-guntootsmiley: :newmascot:

Glad you got it working for you! Let us know what set up you go with. Just remember not to get caught up chasing numbers. The 835 is a killer. Hope many a longbeards drop to her!

Donald is right. Those guns flat out pattern! I do love mine, and wouldn't trade her for anything!
