Just reading this morning in Ecclesiastes chapter 7, Soloman's words. Two verses stuck out to me, verses 20, and 29:
Ecclesiastes 7:20;29 (NIV)
20 Indeed, there is no one on earth who is righteous,
no one who does what is right and never sins.
29 This only have I found:
God created mankind upright,
but they have gone in search of many schemes."
In thinking about the above, I must say I can not deny the times I have gone after schemes, or turned from God. Fortunately, God is always awaiting with open arms to receive us back, when we wander, IF, we have true repentance.
God's Word in 1 John 1:9 (NIV) reads:
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your love, grace, forgiveness, and the salvation we all have, if we choose, of Your son Jesus. Father forgive me of taking my eyes off You and straying, pursuing schemes of this world, and being out of Your will. Thank You for loving us, and waiting for us to return.
May our hearts be pure, and may You make us aware things we need to change, to be more like You.
Thank You Father for being all knowing, all wise, and just.
It is in the precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Provider, we ask and claim these things, Amen!!
