South Dakota Reports after the Oct Blizzard?
October 18, 2013, 02:17:55 PM
Hello,
I was just wondering if any readers are from the Sturgis/Deadwood/Rapit City areas of South Dakota that could give me any idea of how badly the turkey where hit in the area. I have hunted for several years and my thoughts and prayers go out those ranchers in the area that where so badly hit by the storm.
I am afraid that the game may have taken the same hit.
With Kind Regards
From WV

Just got off the phone with my family in Rapid City and they drove out to Hill City today and said the turkeys were out everywhere. Can not wait until May. This will be my first trip out there. Have you hunted there alot?

I have hunted there three years now. Lots of country! The hills dont hold the birds that once did. BUT the parrie to the North of Rapit city is loaded,,,up to 5 tags!
